The unaccomplished ..
its been weeks, and unfortunately i haven't been able to start with it. just cuz i was tied up with my work. for those who don't know, I work for AIESEC, a global youth organisation which deals in international traineeship programmes in about 92 countries - www.aiesec.org
my work includes marketing the programme, gettin suitable traineeships for the students who sign up wth us for the programme, preparing them for the traineeship which includes aspects like culture shock, country information, job role preparation etc. all this to make the world a better place to live in.
our punch line "an international platform for young people to develop and discover their potential" which i think gives a clearer and a better idea of what AIESEC is all about.
thats it for today !! have a nice time.

Me and only me..
summers have started and so have my vacations. its been a month, sitting in the house, doign nothing. was searching for a summer job, but didn't get anything really worth my knowledge and experience (though i have none :P).
by profession i am a media artist, which includes, graphic designing, 2D animations, 3D designing, character designing, 3D animations, special effects, and everythign that u can relate with media except advertising
after a lot of searching, i didn't get anything. thats when i decided to do some painting. what painting ... bottles :P
lot of fun, u can express all your emotions by painting on them, its real fun.. and atleast better than sitting in the house starin at the idiot box or the comp, doing nothing, rather having nothing to do.
now that i have got a better job to do, i decided to paint as many bottles as i can... and now my house has more bottles than anything else, which shud actually be found in the house. every corner has a bottle, some with flowers, some with candle sticks and some absolutely nude. my garden has bottles all around, no plants, no flowers...
in my next POST, i will put in one of the pics of my house, rather my 'bottle house'
but was a great fun! and i have decided to gift my friends a personally painted bottle on their B'day's. wat an IDEA! there cannot be anything better than tat. i will put in all my memories related to them on the bottles. and gift them on their b'day. wot say guys ??

IIMA and Me
IIMA and me ...
i always wanted to be the part of the intelligent bunch of students of IIMA. one fine day, i find a new contact on my messenger, not interested to talk to him, but i still continued with the chat. and hola! he turned out to be a student of IIMA. those were the days. it was August 2004, when i met this guy from IIMA. one day and we became the best buddies. this helped me to get over with my wierd notions about the IIMites, i considered them to be proud and boastful types. but this chap was like "the boy next door". absolutely great experience.
ppl always talk about the days spent in IIMA, students about their daily lives, but not about how IIMA looks after the annual placements are done and when the students leave for their jobs or internships.
i had the chance to visit IIMA during one of these days, nobody was around, only the sweeper sweeping the LKP (for those who are not aware of the IIM abreviation,it means Louis Kahn Plaza, which has the classrooms, offices and the library of IIMA), corridors echoed my foot steps and the classrooms were locked. the Library was empty, no noise to be heard from any corner of the institute. one could just feel the atmosphere being so sad without those young managers, and their hustle - bustle.
reminiscing my past experiences in IIMA, the days when i spent with my BF, holding hands and walking down the garden during the monsoons, football matches in the worst of rains, the 'chai' at Rambhai's stall and the recently opened up Mocha, where u could find IIMites everyday, in their typical black shirts with 'IIM Ahmedabad' written on them in white..the annual cultural festival, which i happened to miss this time because of some wierd reasons... students hanging around in the LKP with miss Ginger, the favourite and famous kitten, and mr dog (whose name i have forgotten). it probably was a Doberman .. any IIMite out there who can help me out with this bit of information. it is NOSTALGIC.. i wish those days could come back again. sitting in the LKP, and the Fachhas (the guys) eyeing on us (my friend 'n' me), basic reason being less number of females (aka Fachhis) on the campus. the awesome evenings, when the cold wind blew away all the tensions of the day and the Canteen, where i used to have my daily dose of ice - creams.
everything is gone, gone with the summer heat, IIM now looks so dull, without any activities. silence grips the environment. i used to enjoy it earlier, but now i feel so damn sad over there, feels like a dungeon, with silence and nobody around.
the red - bricks and the green gardens feel so sad without the usual hustle and bustle.
i wish those days could come back soon, can't wait for another 2 months.
it will not be before july, when the current first yr batch will come back from their internships and start their next academic term. and a new batch of 270 odd students will form the first yr batch, after Belling the CAT !!
i am waiting for a more fruitful relationship with IIMA, the best B - school in the Asia Pacific region.
